Welcome to the Gifted Kids Educational Foundation Percussion Events Page.   The Gifted Kids Educational Foundation is a non-profit organization focused on advocating for the arts and offering students the opportunity to participate in educational and enrichment programs.    To find out more about the various programs we offer visit our Programs Page


Upcoming Percussion Events include:


Learning Through Music Program - Casselberry Art House - Ages 4-8 (6 week sessions available).

The Learning Through Music program offers students the opportunity to learn Language Arts and Math Concepts utilizing musical instruments.  Classes are held weekly on Thursdays from 4-5 and 5-6 p.m.  Sessions are highly interactive and designed to engage all the senses utilizing movement, dance and musical instruments.  There are 2 levels to choose from.  Level 1 covers kindergarten level instruction including letters and corresponding sounds, numbers, shapes and colors while Level 2 focuses on addition, subtraction and sounding out high frequency words.  Sessions run for 6 weeks and begin on 7/17/2009.

Casselberry Residents pay: $50 for all 6 sessions  /  Non-Residents pay: $65 for all 6 sessions.  For details call Gifted Kids Educational Foundation at (407) 369-0522.

Gifted Kids Music Camp -Casselberry Art House (6/22-7/16, 7/20-8/13).

The Gifted Kids Music Camp offers students grades K-8 a low-cost alternative offering high quality music instruction including voice lessons, music theory, chorus, woodwind instruments and percussion at under $13 per session!   The camp is directed by Pearl Percussion and Innovative Percussion Artist & Author Jose Rosa.  Sessions run for 4 weeks and are held daily from Mondays-Thursdays from 2-3 p.m.     There are 2 sessions to choose from a beginner's music camp and an advanced music camp.    Students can attend either one camp or both.  Students who attend the beginner's class will progress into the advanced camp if they wish to attend.  Our open house will be June 6, 2009.  We will also be accepting walk-in registrations at the Contemporary Drums and Percussion Camp running from June 17-19 at the University of Central Florida Rehearsal Hall.    Call 407-369-0522 for details.
